Cancerbero is a mythical monster in Greek mythology. Its portrayal often shows it as a multi-headed canine guarding the gates of Hades. According to some legends, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have a maximum of nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a vigilant and unyielding sentinel.
